Designed and built specifically for marine use, the M3 coaxial systems offer excellent performance at a more affordable price than our maximum power M6 models.
The 3.650-inch M6-5X coaxial speaker is based on the standard 6.5-inch speaker format and features a wide mounting flange with a six-hole mounting pattern.
The long-throw woofer design and excellent power handling ensure that your music comes through loud and clear at high speed or at anchor. The woofer design is optimized for operation with a large volume of air behind it (at least 2 l / 57 cu. ft.). Operating this coaxial system in less space compromises its low frequency performance.
A 0.75-inch pure silk dome tweeter, specially treated for resistance to the marine environment, handles the high-frequency duties. Silk was chosen for its lightness, excellent damping properties and smooth response.
Although M3-650X coaxial systems can be used with as little as 20W per channel, we recommend amplifiers with a continuous output of between 75 and 100W per channel for optimum audio performance.
